The no-show leak

A kept session pays the fee. A no-show only pays what you actually collect.

The package trap

Packages are priced from the headline fee, not from true cost. Breakage (sessions never redeemed) is the only thing softening the discount.

How to use it

Coaching quotes die on the headline fee. A $125 session looks fine until prep minutes, no-shows, free discovery calls, and package discounts are priced in. Start with your bar (60) and monthly take-home goal ($3,000). Pick a session preset: Virtual 60-min, In-home 2-hr, or Whole-day, each filling fee, session and prep minutes, in-home share, drive, and miles as editable starting points. The no-show card prices the no-show rate against the fee you actually collect on a no-show. The package trap card switches between single sessions and packages, pricing the pack by sessions, pack price, and the share of sessions never redeemed. The free-call drain card prices discovery calls per week, minutes per call, and the conversion share, spread as a cost across every paying session. Fixed costs count website, insurance, and admin hours per week across your paid sessions per month. Results show real minutes, expected revenue, true cost, profit, the big effective rate against your bar, and a biggest-leak callout naming the worst cost line. The reverse-priced fee your bar demands rounds up to $5. The gut check grades what you actually charge; the month planner turns your goal into sessions. No signup; runs on your phone.

Worked example

Example only, not typical pricing. Virtual 60-min preset at a $60 bar: 60 session plus 10 prep minutes equals 70 real minutes, or 1.17 hours. Fixed costs are $30 website plus $25 insurance plus 2 admin hours per week times 4.33 times $60, which is $574.60 per month across 24 sessions, or $23.94 per session. Discovery drain is 2 calls per week times 15 minutes times the 50 percent that never convert, or $2.71 per session. True cost is $70 plus $23.94 plus $2.71 equals $96.65. Expected revenue is $125 times 0.90 with a 10 percent no-show rate equals $112.50. Effective rate is (112.50 minus 96.65) divided by 1.17 equals $13.59 per hour against a $60 bar, so the verdict is UNDERPRICED, and the biggest-leak callout names fixed costs at $23.94. The fee the bar demands is ceil((96.65 plus 70) divided by 0.90 divided by 5) times 5 equals $190. A $125 gut quote is $65 short. The month planner turns $15.85 of profit per session into 189 sessions and about 51 hours a week for a $3,000 month: raise the fee, not the hours.

FAQs

What is breakage and why does it soften the discount?

Sessions never redeemed are paid but never worked. Pricing them back in is the only thing making pack discounts less painful than the headline discount.

Why does the tool price discovery calls I never billed?

Unconverted calls are real hours. Spreading their time value across paying sessions shows the true cost of a full calendar that converts half its leads.

What does the biggest-leak callout do?

It names the single cost line hurting the most: no-shows, travel, free calls, or fixed costs. Fix that line before raising volume.

Why is the reverse fee rounded up to $5?

Clean pricing psychology. The exact math becomes a fee you can actually quote without haggling over pennies.

What does UNDERPRICED mean here?

Every session profits, but your effective rate sits under 75 percent of your bar. The fee works; it just does not pay you.
