How to use it

Same-day event quotes die when the no-shows, the setup, the booth fee, and the drive stay invisible. Start with Your numbers: your target rate, margin percent, minimum event take, and event income goal. In The event, pick a preset: Half-day shop, Full day, or Market booth. Each fills machines booked, no-show percent, tune-up minutes per machine, setup minutes, event fee, and drive, all editable. The tool only prices the machines that pay: ten booked at ten percent no-show is nine paying machines. Tick the repair-arrivals box when some machines come in as repairs, and the tool adds thirty minutes each. In The leaks, set round-trip drive and miles plus vehicle cost per mile. The breakdown shows paying machines, bench labor, setup, drive labor, vehicle, supplies, event fee, true event cost, and true cost per paying machine. The big number is the recommended per-machine price: true cost plus margin divided by paying machines, rounded to five dollars, never below your minimum take. Verdicts are EVENT WORKS, THIN EVENT, or LOSING EVENT. The gut check prices your old number, and event math counts events to your goal. Free, no signup, runs on your phone.

Worked example

Example only, not typical pricing. A half-day shop preset at the defaults: $60 target rate, 20 percent margin, $250 minimum take, 10 machines booked, 10 percent no-show for 9 paying machines, 40 tune-up minutes per machine, 60 setup minutes, $50 event fee, 45 drive minutes, 36 miles at $0.67 per mile, and $3 supplies per machine. Bench labor is $360.00, setup is $60.00, drive labor is $45.00, the vehicle is $24.12, supplies are $27.00, and the event fee is $50.00, giving a true event cost of $566.12 and a per-machine true cost of $62.90. The recommended price is $80 per machine. A $90 event price earns $243.88 profit at $91.47 per hour, so the verdict is EVENT WORKS. A $60 gut quote pays $56.63 per hour, sits $26.12 below true cost per event, and leaves $20 per machine on the table. The planner says 3 events and 23.3 hours to a $600 goal.

FAQs

Why do no-shows get priced into the quote?

Ten booked at ten percent no-show is nine paying machines. The per-machine price covers the bench time lost to the machine that never arrives.

Why do repair arrivals change the price?

Some tune-ups turn into repairs at plus thirty minutes each. The toggle prices that leak instead of letting it ride for free.

Why does the booth fee get its own line?

A $150 market fee over eight machines is nearly nineteen dollars per machine. The leak note fires when the fee passes ten dollars per paying machine.

Should I take deposits?

A no-show rate at fifteen percent or more fires its own leak note. Deposits or overbooking are the named fix.

Is this business or financial advice?

No. Planning-only arithmetic on your own numbers. Defaults are editable starting points, not market rates.
